The San Ysidro Community History Project. Edited by Richard Griswold del Castillo. San Diego: San Diego State University Department of Mexican American Studies, [1983.] 25 pages. $2.00 Paper.

In the fall semester of 1982, five students in a course at San Diego State University undertook a research project on the history of San Ysidro, California. This border community, which has close cultural, economic and often family ties with Tijuana, Mexico, is politically a part of the City of San Diego. It has, however, been neglected by San Diego historians. Therefore these papers, even in brief, provide a real contribution to the history of the area and a good starting point for future work on San Ysidro history.
