Spreckels Organ Pavilion.  
A large outdoor concert, like th one above (c. 1923) in the Spreckels Organ Pavilion, was what Mme. Schumann-Heink had envisioned for her "American Bayreuth".

Seen here a year before her death in 1936, Mme. Schumann-Heink is remembered by many, not only for her beautiful voice, but also for her warm and brilliant personality.
