Mr. Fehrenbach writes vividly and clearly, with an eye for drama and colorful detail. His history of Mexico begins with ancient man and ends at the present day. He has clearly written this for a general audience for the book contains neither notes nor a detailed breakdown of sources. Most readers will not be disappointed.
