Ordinance of the City of San Diego, California

ORDINANCE NO. 258.

Approved June 13th, 1888.

An ordinance defining the duties of Health Officer of the City of San Diego, California.

The Mayor and City Council of the City of San Diego do ordain as follows:

Section 1. It shall be the duty of the Health Officer, in addition to the duties prescribed in Ordinance No. 193, to examine, attend and prescribe for all city prisoners and patients placed in the pesthouse, and vaccinate all citizens and residents of said city when ordered by the Board of Health or City Council.

Section. 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.

Passed, approved and ordered published by the City Council of the City of San Diego, State of California, this 6th day of June, 1888. J.A. Thomas, City Clerk.

I hereby approve the foregoing ordinance this 13th day of June, 1888.
