About the author Michael Kelly is a Family Practice physician and a partner in the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. Born in Michigan, he received his M.D. degree from the University of Michigan, came to California in 1970 and settled in San Diego in 1972. In addition to his medical practice, he operates the Kaiser Permanente Travel Advisory Service for international travelers. Dr. Kelly has served as a member of the San Diego Historical Society’s Board of Directors since 1997 and as webmaster for the Society’s web site since 1996. |
