Photographs by architectural advisor and superintendent of construction J.
Marshall Miller documenting the restoration of Mission San Diego de Alcala from
1930-1931. Includes a photographic survey of the mission ruins and surrounding
area, architectural elements of other California missions, construction
progress, a San Juan Capistrano brickyard, La Jolla Canyon Tile Plant, National
Iron Works, the celebration rededicating Mission San Diego, and views of the
mission after completion of the project. Also includes images of Immaculate
Conception Church and various houses in Old Town.
